U7 (TimBits Hockey) for 4, 5, & 6 year olds

Sadly, we are at the end of the 2020-2021 hockey season.  With Mondays’ news from AHS and the province that no restrictions will be lifted at this time we have made the difficult decision to end this crazy Covid hockey season.

Darlene and I have totally enjoyed working with all of you this year.  Having the opportunity to be in the rink these last 5 weeks and watching the kids come and go has been our privilege.  What a great group of kids, coaches and parents we have in the NEZ.

We need everyone to return the jerseys.  The socks are yours to keep.  NEZ has trophies and goodie bags for all the players.  We will be at the NEZ Office, 7515 Borden Park Road this Sunday, March 28 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.  Please drop off the jersey and collect a trophy and goodies for your child.

We will also be at the office from 5:30 to 6:30 pm on Wednesday, March 31 for those unable to drop by on Sunday.

For those of you who have not been to our office we are in the main parking lot at Borden Park, behind the tennis courts and across from the swimming pool.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the coaches.  You folks did a terrific job.  It was great to watch the kids skate the last couple of weeks and see how far they’ve come this year.

We are expecting to refund part of the fees to everyone but that is going to take some time.  We have to wait for refunds to trickle down from Hockey Canada, Hockey Alberta, Hockey Edmonton and the City of Edmonton.  Then we have to sit down and do the number crunching!  It is unlikely that any refunds will be processed for at least 4 to 6 weeks – perhaps even a little bit longer.  Bear with us and we will get this done as soon as we possibly can.

Thanks again and we look forward to seeing everyone in the 2021-2022 season.  It’s got to get better!   Stay safe, stay healthy and have a great summer.
