Softball Umpires’ Clinic

The training clinic for 2025 will be held in cooperation with Edmonton and District Softball Umpire Association on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday April 27 at the Edmonton Garrison. More information concerning the day will be sent out closer to the time but there will be registration on Saturday morning starting at 8:00 am with a 9:00 am clinic start time. Expect the clinic to run for the whole day.
Beginning umpires are level 1s and must pay this fee to cover insurance, your membership in the Alberta Softball Umpire Association and the costs of the clinic. However, the Greater Edmonton Minor Softball Association has a policy of reimbursing these fees for beginning umpires that umpire a minimum of 8 league games and 2 playoff games. This reimbursement will come at the end of the GEMSA season.
Further, if you are a beginning or second year umpire that is looking for equipment, we have loaner equipment for you to use. Please email before the clinic if you would like to borrow equipment for the season.
