Registration for the 2016-2017 Hockey Season is available as of June 1, 2016. Requirements for registration are based on your child’s program level (Discovery, Junior TimBits, or Senior TimBits). Additionally, new players will require documents to prove identity and residence.

In general, the following eight items are required to complete registration:

  • Complete and submit the online registration form
  • Pay the appropriate registration fee
  • Provide the registrar with a copy or photo of your child’s Birth Certificate and Alberta Health Care Card (AHC)
  • Provide the registrar with a completed “Parent Declaration” form
  • Provide the registrar with proof of residence documentation
  • Complete the required parent course called Respect In Sport
  • Sign up for a volunteer commitment as needed
  • Present a 2016-2017 Community League Membership

  • Complete and submit the online registration form
  • When you begin the online registration process you will be redirected to the Hockey Canada Registration site. Please follow the appropriate steps to complete this component of your registration.
  • Pay the appropriate registration fee:
    1. Discovery Program (4 years of age/children (males or females) born in 2012) = $100
    2. Junior TimBits (5 years of age/children (males or females) born in 2011) = $100
    3. Senior TimBits (6 years of age/children (males or females) born in 2010) = $150
  • Provide the registrar with a copy or photo of your child’s Birth Certificate and Alberta Health Care Card
  • This component is ONLY required for players that are new to the NEZ hockey program. If your child has previously played hockey for NEZ then you are not required to submit these documents.
  • If you are a military family, please provide a photo/copy of your child’s Alberta provincial health care card.
  • Provide the registrar with a completed “Parent Declaration” form
  • Required for players that are new to the program. If your child has played for the NEZ in the past, then you will not be required to complete a Parent Declaration form
  • The form will declare you as the parent/guardian of the child/player AND declare you and your child’s residential address
  • Provide the registrar with a proof of residence documentation
  • ­Send a copy/photo of a utility bill, bank statement, phone bill ect. to the registrar
  • The copy/photo MUST contain the following information your full name (parent/guardian), your residential address, and the date.
  • Complete the required parent course called Respect In Sport
  • The Respect In Sport Program is NOT linked to the Hockey Canada Registry (Database)
  • You must complete the course AND link your child to your Respect In Sport Account

  • Sign up for a volunteer commitment as needed.
    1. Discovery Program (4 years of age/males and females born in 2012) = NO volunteer commitment
    2. Junior TimBits (5 years of age/males and females born in 2011) = Volunteer commitment required. Sign up here.

    3. In the past the NEZ sold Community League Memberships on behalf of member communities to families registering for our hockey program. As this is a cumbersome and time consuming we will require families to purchase Community Leaque Memberships through the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues (EFCL) and present them to the NEZ to complete their child’s hockey registration.
