NEZ Baseball Scorekeeping Clinic 2017
The North East Zone will again be hosting a baseball scorekeeping clinic for any individual that would like to learn the techniques of this important contribution to the game. Even if you are new to baseball or an experienced fan, this 5-hour clinic will help you understand all the basics of scorekeeping and then some.
Two levels of classes will be offered:
Beginner’s Basic Class (For those who want or need to start with an understanding of the game first.)
Thursday, April 6 & Thursday, April 13
Skills you will learn – General rules and terminology of the game, defensive positions, understanding the scorebook, scoring the game. New this year – Intro to scoring App, Game Changer!
Advanced Class (For those who already have an understanding of the game and its concepts.)
Thursday, April 20 & Thursday, April 27
Skills you will learn – Detailed rules of the game, defensive positions, understanding the scorebook, advanced scoring of the game, developing statistics. New this year – Intro to scoring App, Game Changer!
All classes will be from 6:30 to 9:00 pm.
The clinic will include two – 2 and a half hour sessions as scheduled. Please ensure you can attend both classes. You can take the Beginner’s Basic Class, as well as the Advanced Class if you wish or skip straight to the Advanced Class if you are already familiar with basic scorekeeping.
The clinic will be held at the tennis courts office beside the North East Zone building, 7515 Borden Park Road.

Please indicate which association your child plays for and what category and division (i.e. SJP Peewee AA). This clinic is FREE but there will be limited space so be sure to sign up now! Due to limited space and dates, we will only be able to accommodate two representatives from a team.
Scorekeeping is a key part of the game and is required for league, tournament and provincial games. Come out with your favourite pen or pencil and notebook to learn this important part of the game. Practice score sheets will be provided.
